Privacy Statement

This statement explains how SESSION: Software Development, Digital Business Intelligence, and Computer Engineering, published by Politeknik Negeri Banyuwangi, handles the personal data of authors, reviewers and readers.

What we collect

  • Names, affiliations, e-mail addresses and ORCID iDs supplied when you register or submit a manuscript.
  • The content of manuscripts and review reports, including any personal data contained in them.
  • Basic usage data recorded by the publishing platform, for example the pages you visit while logged in.

Why we collect it

  • To manage the submission, peer-review, copyediting and publication process.
  • To communicate with you about your manuscript, your review assignments or your account.
  • To publish the author information that appears on a published article.

What we do not do

The names and e-mail addresses entered on this site are used exclusively for the purposes stated above. They are not made available to any other party and are not used for unsolicited commercial messages.

Who can see your data

Your data is accessible only to the editorial team, the platform administrators and, where necessary for the review process, the reviewers assigned to your manuscript. The journal uses double-blind review: reviewers do not see author identities and authors do not see reviewer identities.

How long we keep it

Manuscript and reviewer records are retained for as long as the journal needs them to document the editorial process and to meet archiving requirements. Published articles remain available permanently as part of the scholarly record.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to the editorial office at session@poliwangi.ac.id. Requests are handled in accordance with the applicable data-protection regulations of the Republic of Indonesia.

This statement may be updated from time to time. The current version always appears on this page.
